The Goethe Society Wellington aims to promote German language and culture in the broadest sense, providing a place to meet for those who enjoy speaking German and are interested in German history, literature, music, art, films and current events.
We are distinct from the Goethe-Institut: a branch of an international organisation sponsored by the German government, which promotes and offers German language study and co-operates with New Zealand organisations' to bring programmes of German cultural interest to New Zealand.
